Shengjie Jin

Ph.D. student · Beijing, China

I am a third-year Ph.D. student at the Gaoling School of Artificial Intelligence, Renmin University of China, advised by Prof. Zhiwu Lu. Previously, I studied Computer Science and Technology at China University of Geosciences (Wuhan).

My research interests include multimodal large language models, AI agents, and recursive self-improvement (RSI). My recent work spans GUI agents and agent self-distillation.

I’m looking for research internships.

Away from research, I love music and singing 🎤, and I’m giving tennis a shot. 🎾

TL;DR MMRole provides a dataset of character profiles and image-based dialogues, a specialized role-playing agent, and evaluation with reference answers. Together, these support developing and assessing agents that interpret images while staying consistent with a character’s personality, knowledge, and speaking style.
